I just got back from Spokane WA where I presented along with someone else I work with, Florina, about Hispanic Health Projects. Florina spoke about the different programs Hispanic Health Projects does and I spoke about how we use video to present our research in a documentary format. We showed a 20 minute documentary titled, "The Many Faces of Diabetes" our most recent documentary. I also spoke about our newest program with teens, in which we teach them how to make photo essay, video documentaries and posters that promote a positive message to other teens in their community.
It was a great experience!
Hi everyone,
I'm super excited. I got back late last night, opened up my mail box and sitting on top was The Official Journal of the National Association for Rural Mental Health. My first reaction was in seeing a young lady I worked with last year, Heather...my second, was, "Wait a minute, i took that photo for Idaho Community Health Corps while with AmeriCorps" I was excited to see it was chosen and then even more excited when I saw a photo essay showing the work I've done for them over the year inside. A great article on AmeriCorps and the Idaho Community Health Corps accompanied it. There was a write up on myself as the photographer, where I work now at Hispanic Health Projects and on the type of camera and technical information when taking the photo.
It was great to see!

I was recently asked by the Antrhopology Club to design a poster for their annual Potlatch. Final poster using the image I photographed for the design can be seen under: Annual Potlatch.
The annual Potlatch is the Anthropology Club's biggest fundraiser of the year. The Potlatch has been postponed to one week after the date on the poster so that our Department Chair can attend. At the moment he is recovering from a recent fall.
I recently posted a resume for perspective employees and colleges to see the work I've done on my about me page.
